Job Duties and Responsibilities

At EchoStar, the SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) team's mission is to deliver software that meets business needs and allows for a positive customer experience. The Lead SDET is a key contributor to the overall software delivery team in a fast-paced IT environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks, leading a team of SDETs, and ensuring the overall quality of software applications by actively collaborating with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle, often setting the quality strategy and best practices for the project. In this role you will be a member of our Order Orchestration team that processes all orders for our Boost devices and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of SDETs, reviewing work and fostering knowledge sharing.
  • Implement and maintain robust test automation frameworks for APIs, AWS Step Functions, and Lambdas leveraging REST-assured
  • Design, create, and manage automation test scripts, frameworks, and test plans.
  • Oversee test planning, execution, and coverage, ensuring alignment with project scope and timelines.
  • Track testing progress, analyze metrics, and communicate status updates to management.
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 7 years of related experience; or 8 years related experience
  • Min 5 years experience in STE II, or equivalent role

Education and Experience:
  • Advanced knowledge of software testing techniques, methodologies, and toolsets like ReadyAPI, Octane, Selenium, and SoapUI.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, database queries, and programming languages for test automation.
  • Strong ability to write, present, and communicate effectively with leadership, customers, and business partners.
  • Problem-solving skills to address complex issues with limited standardization and articulate clear requirements.
  • Capable of representing the testing organization professionally while driving quality and efficiency
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
