Department Summary

The Customer Retention Department blends marketing, operations, strategy, and analytics. Within Video Services, this team is highly visible to the Executive Leadership and drives initiatives to retain and monetize DISH's customer base, including DISH and Sling brands. Our mission is to enhance customer loyalty by improving their experience and engagement.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the evolution of the DISH and SLING customer experience into the new age of Video Services. Below are just a few of the primary responsibilities you will own as part of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage analytic insights to drive initiatives and offers that enhance customer Loyalty through an evolving content delivery environment
  • Develop and utilize financial modeling to make strategic decisions and guide business initiatives in ways that maximize the video services bottom line
  • Identify and analyze industry trends to develop new retention strategies and support business direction
  • Spearhead the development of Loyalty-based AI/ML initiatives that drive churn enhancements and operational efficiencies
  • Lead projects dedicated to driving operational automation by integrating new technology
  • Effectively communicate complex storylines and data-driven recommendations up to the SVP level
  • Generate robust internal partnerships to project manage the implementation of developed operational tactics
  • Utilize SQL code, creative analytics, and advanced modeling to drive decisions as a key consultant to the business
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (4-year) in a focus that demonstrates logical thinking
  • 4+ years of experience in a data-driven analytics or strategy role
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field a plus


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience developing analytic models and dynamic reports with SQL, Tableau, and Excel that drive business direction and insights
  • Experience developing forecasts and financial modeling that drive project-based decisions
  • Proven success working with large datasets
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to generate a meaningful story from data to both peer and executive audiences
  • Excellent project management and time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
