Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain telemetry data extraction using Cisco CNC and NSO, ensuring non-invasive access to network device data
- Onboard and configure network devices for telemetry via CNC, implementing YANG-based data retrieval for efficient monitoring
- Manage Kafka data pipelines: Ensuring uninterrupted data flow from CNC to monitoring and alert systems
- Design and analyze KPIs and metrics: Applying critical thinking to enhance network performance and observability
- Monitor CNC and NSO operations: Continuously, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain data reliability for all monitoring platforms
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python, database
- Good working knowledge of Linux
- Web experience such as Flask, Spring, JSP, JavaScript
- Cisco CNC and NSO Expertise: Deep knowledge of Cisco's CNC and NSO platforms, including device onboarding, telemetry data extraction, and configuration
- YANG Modeling and NETCONF: Proficiency with YANG models for optimized data retrieval and device interfacing via NETCONF
- Kafka and Data Integration: Experience in configuring and managing Kafka pipelines for seamless data flow from CNC to monitoring systems
- KPI Development and Network Metrics: Strong analytical skills to design, implement, and monitor KPIs and metrics relevant to network health and performance
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to identify new use cases for metrics and to troubleshoot data flow issues rapidly
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $158,125.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
