Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct RF design and optimization for the deployment of the first standalone 5G broadband network in the US.
  • Manage propagation modeling, prediction, and equipment/power configurations for Macro Cell deployment.
  • Collaborate with eNB/RAN and UE teams to develop RF solutions, including site-level RF link budget adjustments.
  • Evaluate and select site candidates, perform site walks, and coordinate call testing and optimization activities.
  • Work with RF Management to set design criteria, perform traffic analysis, and update performance parameters for continuous improvement.
  • Lead projects independently, coach junior engineers, and develop innovative solutions to complex RF engineering challenges.
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • BSEE/BSCSdegree and/or at least 5+ years of relevant LTE RF Design working experience
  • 6+ years overall wireless experience in Design/Optimization or Operations roles including RF support of site acquisition and site construction teams
  • Related degree and experience will be taken into consideration in lieu of BSEE/BSCS


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in 4G/5G and NR theory, with practical experience in cellular/mobile technologies.
  • Mastery in macro and small cell RF design, including development, operations, RF KPIs, and 3GPP link budget maintenance.
  • Proficient in LTE design and optimization, including calibration, equipment setup, and data processing.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry propagation/planning tools (e.g., Planet, Atoll) and experience with model calibrations.
  • Skilled in drive test data post-processing, frequency planning, interference analysis, and database maintenance using tools like Windcatcher, Actix, or Accuver.
  • In-depth understanding of equipment co-location requirements and expertise in inter-modulation and external interference analysis.


Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
