Job Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Engineer-Embedded sought by DISH Network, L.L.C. in Englewood, Colorado.
Design and develop secure boot code for Dish Linux and Android devices. Develop new set-top box features based on requirements, including the creation of use cases and test plans. Participate in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and cross-training activities related to secure software development. Proactively develop strategies, procedures, and tools to ensure our android devices are secure. Implement and maintain containerization for isolation of applications to enforce a least privilege principle for containerized applications. Foster a culture of security awareness and collaboration through mentoring and training. Proactively collaborate with Senior Leadership to develop security solutions, implementing new processes and procedures for monitoring set-top box security. Regularly communicate security updates, risks, and align security initiatives with business objectives. Implement real-time monitoring for device security as well as anomaly detections for early threat identification. Monitor new code being added to the codebase for security issues. Work with third-party vendors to ensure that hardware and software meet Dish's high-security requirements through chip qualifications. Understand and advise on crypto requirements for content storage as well as communications.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requires Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field plus 5 years of experience in job offered or similar role. Also requires 5 years of work experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- Embedded C software design and development
- Low level embedded security
- Linux and android security
Compensation: $161,886.00/Year - $161,886.00/Year
