Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role is part of the Network Data & Analytics (ND&A) team within the Network Development organization. ND&A is a Wireless Data Analytics and Science team aimed at optimizing Network Quality. Situated as the intelligence layer between data owners and consumers, it interprets end-to-end data from Network, Finance, and other sources to drive innovative correlations for business resolutions. These insights are crucial for optimizing resources in network build, operations, and enhancement. The ND&A team, comprising data scientists, engineers, and analysts, is dedicated to delivering the best Wireless experience for Subscribers and Enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets from telecom operations, customer behavior, and market trends using advanced analytics techniques
  • Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms for customer segmentation, churn prediction, revenue forecasting, and operational efficiency
  • Work with marketing, product management, and IT teams to identify opportunities and solve complex business problems
  • Design and implement solutions to improve network performance, customer experience, and service delivery
  • Interpret and present findings to stakeholders through data visualizations, reports, and presentations
  • Maintain and enhance data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data science and telecom technologies
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and database skills in Teradata, AWS, and/or SQL Server databases
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role in the telecom industry
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques
  • Experience with end-to-end ML-Ops model building and deployment in a cloud based environment, preferably AWS services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, EMR, S3, Lambda, and EC2
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and SQL, SnowFlake for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for scalable data processing
  • Proficiency in the use of modern data architectures and cloud services as well as NoSQL services like MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.
  • Ability to work with structured and unstructured datasets, and apply data mining techniques to extract valuable insights
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $120,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
