Job Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Core Engineer sought by DISH Wireless LLC in Littleton, Colorado
Define the overall architecture, external interfaces, and detailed functional description of the solution. Perform technical evaluations of major system enhancements and major requirements. Create detailed system level functional requirements and specifications. Review, test and finalize design for a multi-vendor core network. Participate in creating application architecture documents to provide deliverables in line with architectural requirements. Understand, test, and implement 3GPP and Vendor proprietary features. Drive Vendor roadmap based on business drivers and technology evolution. Monitor standards body activities to and participate (if necessary) to influence the industry with an innovative vision of the company. Identify opportunities for innovation and market disruption. Provide guidance and leadership to junior members of the team. Up to 30% domestic travel is needed, across the United States.

Job requirements:
Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus 4 years Progressive Experience in job offered or systems engineering role. Also requires 4 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- Mobile networks and LTE, 5G or 4G standards;
- 3GPP IMS core standard;
- NFV standards and ecosystem; and
- TCP/IP networking.
Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, which may include a drug test.
Rate of pay: $140,000.00
