Job Duties and Responsibilities

Senior cloud Engineer sought by DISH Wireless LLC in Littleton, Colorado

Support automated deployment and management on the AWS cloud native environment. Increase automated recovery and zero touch provisioning using tools like: Kubernetes, Ansible, CloudFormation, Gitlab, and more. Mentor junior engineers and new team members and apply technical expertise to challenge programming and design problems. Develop high available, fault - tolerant platform and cloud infrastructures, designs, and solutions. Establish standards and guidelines for the design and development, tuning, deployment, and maintenance of platform and cloud infrastructure, backups, upgrade, and automation process. Administration of ECR, EC2, ECS, IAM database, OSS and applications. Identify and recommend updates to software or architecture as necessary before reaching capacity limitations. Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures. Monitor for troubleshooting and triaging system problems. Develop automated responses to incidents. Champion system metrics (MTBF, MTTR, etc.) and convey them to decision markers. Manage priority of issues and tickets. Participate in rotating an on - call schedule.

Job requirements:

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree field plus 1 year of experience in job offered or as infrastructure specialist. Will also accept Bachelor's degree in stated fields plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience. Also requires 1 year of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
  • Setting up and managing various client applications over cloud environments;
  • Deploy, manage, and upgrading Kubernetes clusters, PaaS and IaaS support;
  • Setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and IBM UCD; and
  • Linux and Windows Administration.
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, which may include a drug test.

Rate of pay: $130,000.00
