Job Duties and Responsibilities

The position will play as the technical subject matter expert in the region for RF design, testing, deployment and troubleshooting of the elements of the 5G RAN and core. The RAN Operations Manager will guide the talented team of design engineers in the region to support deployment of the 5G systems. In this position, it will interface with the National RF Team and the technology team on technical issues and work closely with the market teams to translate those into action. It will also coordinate and facilitate detailed technical planning and ensure compliance of the regions to the guidelines and also serve to make change recommendations when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop application/network design documents for 5G RAN deployment.
  • Guide RF Engineers on the technical aspects of DISH 5G network design and deployment.
  • Manage internal/external partnerships to drive automation and new capabilities in 5G network performance.
  • Document system testing activities, including feature validation, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Align with National RAN to implement regional initiatives and standardize processes.
  • Manage regional RAN governance, ensuring compliance with KPIs and National RF guidelines.


Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline is required; computer Science or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the wireless industry
  • Direct leadership experience preferred
  • 7+ years technical management experience with Wireless Service provider in RAN technical and engineering capacity


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced leadership & management skills, including strategic thinking, negotiation, self-awareness, and team focus
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present data and information to all levels of the organization
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
