Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Field Process Quality Engineer will be based in one of our IHS offices and have the opportunity to impact DISH and OnTech operations and profitability by developing/improving detailed processes for frontline field employees. The Process and Operations team is looking for an individual who can interpret performance metric data and translate the findings into new or improved solutions for technicians, managers and inventory teams. This position requires consistent communication and collaboration between central operations and field leadership to achieve revenue and productivity goals. We are looking for an engineer with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and a customer service focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uses concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues
- Analyzes current processes and procedures in order to make recommendations to promote effective operations within and between departments and offices
- Designs and implements changes to field processes that improve results and reduce cost
- Supports initial launch of new clients / products and monitors performance to ensure process functionality/compliance
- Leverages data to drive continuous improvement in areas such as productivity, repair rates, quality, customer service, and sales
- Support the DISH Quality Management System that establishes and maintains effective quality assurance processes and compliance
- Periodically conduct process validations
- Participate and occasionally conduct Internal Audits
- Clearly communicate any process and/or quality concerns to Field Management
- Support continuous improvement projects through utilization tools such as 8D Root Cause Analysis and Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Periodically travel (10-20%) to DISH facilities to review and enhance their effectiveness and capabilities

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering or related field from a four-year college or university and five plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience includes knowledge of electronic/mechanical components and systems, and thorough knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures or government policy
- Able to write reports/correspondence/procedure manuals, and present information and respond to questions from managers/customers/general public. Proficient use of Google Office tools; determines methods and procedures on new assignments
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Works on complex issues where data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- CQM/OE preferred

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $120,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
