Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in identifying and routing legal requests
- Review underlying master agreements
- Monitor and communicate to various business stakeholders' progress in legal review
- Review, understand and communicate contract requirements to stakeholders
- Various administrative and clerical duties, including
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, such as cataloging, filing, organizing and retrieving legal documents
- Navigate document management system(s) efficiently, including filing and retrieval of documents
- Direct inquiries from EchoStar personnel to the applicable legal department personnel
- Schedule inter or intra department meetings and managing related logistics
- Other administrative and/or clerical tasks.
- Support of contract drafting and negotiation, including:
- Proofread, edit, and fact-check documents for accuracy and consistency, according to company policy and the applicable team's style guide, if applicable and when necessary
- Assist with closing duties (e.g., collecting, filing, preparing execution ready copies, and circulating documents for review and signature)
- Perform due diligence and research, including basic issue spotting and escalation and preparing related reports and inter department memoranda
- Assist attorneys with review and preparation of various simple legal documents
- Develop ability to draft, negotiate, and prepare portions of routine documents
- Perform critical evaluation of documents presented for review, asking questions and raising issues when appropriate to applicable attorney or subject matter expert
- Managing processes for use of template agreements for groups supported within the Legal Department (e.g. NDAs, software and equipment evaluation agreements, etc.), including activities such as process development/improvement, department integration, updating various templates in coordination with a supervising attorney from time to time to fit the business needs, negotiation under ultimate supervision of an attorney, escalation to an attorney when and as needed, coordination of final execution, and filing / maintaining access to the template as needed
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree, or 3 years' equivalent experience in accounting, bookkeeping, legal support or office administration
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and research skills required
- Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
- Familiarity with CLMs and associated processes preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail, excellent follow through
- Team player, with a can-do attitude

Compensation: $54,650.00/Year - $78,100.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
