Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Operations Manager in performing the daily activities to proactively ensure the health of the Revenue Management platforms and no impact to our customers
  • Design, Build and Maintain production monitoring with an automation first mindset
  • When alarms due arise drive resolution and determine ways for future prevention
  • Learn and understand the applicable AWS functions used to support the Revenue Management domain and provide input into overall optimization and operations
  • Environment maintenance and own working with our infrastructure team on maintenance and upgrades (i.e., EKS, Database, etc...)
  • Handle the bill run activities, resolve the Production Incidents, work on clearing the error CDRs, fix the billing errors.
  • Perform Test and Production deployments with an eye on automation of CI/CD pipelines
  • Root cause analysis of production incidents working with necessary development and vendor teams
  • Develop strategies to minimize failures and downtime
  • Develop and maintain operations KPIs for applications and business capabilities
  • Author and maintain knowledge documentation, methods and procedures for the team
Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Engineering degree with 8 to 10 years of experience in Application Enhancement, Maintenance, Dev/Ops and/or Production Support
  • Must have demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas of operations:
    • Amdocs Optima / Kenan FX (4.0 Above)
    • Matrixx Charging (CHF)
    • DigitalRoute Mediation
    • DevOps on the public cloud
  • Work in a DevOps environment by handling operations support and maintenance activities
  • Candidate should be ready to work weekends on an as needed basis for application activities (i..e, bill runs), releases and/or maintenance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Understanding of Telecommunications Revenue Management concepts such as Billing, Charging or Mediation
  • Demonstrated skillsets in a subset of the following areas: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab, PostgreSQL, Shell Scripting, Python, ArgoCD, Harness
