Job Duties and Responsibilities
The IT Technician position works 100% onsite and handles all technical related incidents/escalations reported by our dynamic employee workforce and is responsible for troubleshooting, solving complex issues, and providing exceptional customer support within standard and non-standard use cases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations best practices, including network infrastructure, Wireless/LAN connections, VPN, proxy/firewalls methodologies, OS upgrades/patching, printers and end-user computer hardware/software.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot a variety of technical issues as it relates to employee job-functions including software, hardware, networking - with strong problem-solving ability such as: active listening, analysis, research, creativity, communication, dependability, decision making, team building, and can determine necessary handoffs for help/ escalation
- Assist employees with the enrollment, installation, configuration, recovery and ongoing usability of hardware and software
- Provide a complete "one-contact resolution" mindset for both generic "how to" questions and complex technical issues mostly in person, but occasionally through use of phone or video chat if necessary
- Supports device operating system upgrades/patching to ensure enterprise system integrity and works with end-users to ensure critical application availability
- Demonstrate expert-level knowledge supporting Windows 10/11, macOS, Google Workspace, Active Directory, iOS, Android, MS Office
- While installing hardware and/or troubleshooting issues, physical responsibilities include, but not limited to, frequent use of hands, sitting and/or standing continuously for extended periods of time, accessing hard to reach spaces, lifting up to 50lbs
- Cultivate strong cross-functional relationships within IT, other internal business partners, outside vendors, and executive teams
- Perform regular audits that involve data, system controls/access, and security of all IT assets
- Analyze current processes and procedures in order to maintain them or make recommendations to promote effective operations within and between departments
- Creation of both written and verbal communication that includes, but not limited to: e-mail, procedural documents, processes, reports and presentations to a variety of audiences
- Lead and/or coordinate large group activities in the form of training, face-to-face or virtual meetings
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years experience supporting infrastructure operations in an enterprise environment and seen as the go-to expert in an area of specialization

- Self-motivated with a strong desire to seek the source of a problem and the capability to ask the questions necessary to identify the root cause; can work independently with minimal supervision and also collaboratively with team members
- Ability to create and maintain process various documentation/procedures for internal team, support team, end users, and executive leadership
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business/technical forums, industry news, and technical procedures
- Ability to prioritize, organize, meet deadlines and target completion dates
Compensation: $54,650.00/Year - $65,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
