Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Wireless is actively seeking a Instructional Designer III to join our dynamic team. As an Instructional Designer within our high-energy retail wireless training and development department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our field sales teams. Your primary responsibilities will include content management, the development of online and instructor-led curricula for various training programs, and the creation of real-time communications and updates. Working closely with team members, you will contribute to measuring the effectiveness of training initiatives and collaborate on evaluating and exploring new opportunities to ensure our program remains best in class. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic oversight for multimedia training content production, encompassing videos, e-learning modules, interactive simulations, and digital assets.
  • Ensure multimedia content complies with accessibility standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Learning Management System (LMS) and offer creative design ideas.
  • Establishes and builds relationships with requesters inside the team and across the business; responsive and adaptable to feedback and change
  • Conducts needs analysis with partners, managers, and executive leadership to determine project needs, key deliverables, and timelines
  • Designs and develops top-quality, coherent, and concise online training courses, instructor-led training materials, lesson plans, and user documentation that supports the training strategy to improve overall user and business capabilities
  • Applies instructional design principles and models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create well-structured, learner-centered content, including video components
  • Interfaces with project managers, business analysts, developers, subject matter experts, and users during all phases of system analysis, testing, training, and deployment. Manages training projects from needs assessment to evaluation
  • Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably; can decide and act without having the total picture; can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty
  • Work independently and proactively; you know when to get others involved, and how to work with peers inside and outside Creative and Production teams
  • Copywrite communications leveraging brand voices for improved delivery impact
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in instructional design, education, or similar, and/or have equivalent work experience of 3-5+ years
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Resume, portfolio and writing samples required
  • Experience managing daily production-related activities including scripts, editing, deliverables and quality control
  • Working knowledge of audio/video production and editing tools (Adobe Premiere & After Effects)
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff; competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills
  • Experience as a team lead for projects or programs; strengths include leading by example, decisiveness, motivating others, and being highly adaptable to change
  • Practical experience and skill with developer applications (e.g. Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, and mobile learning applications)
  • Flexible, innovative, and able to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and time-critical environment
  • Ability to travel if required (10% -15%)
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,200.00/Year

The base pay range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Compensation is also based on the role's location and may change depending on the work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check. The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
