Job Duties and Responsibilities

Functional Test Engineer II sought by DISH Wireless LLC in Littleton, Colorado.

Perform functional testing that includes verifying all software features of each network element (i.e. 5G Radio Unit, Decentralized Unit, Centralized Unit, Cell Site Router, User Equipment), and leverages traffic generators such as Keysight and Spirent products and other tools such as Wireshark and other node specific tools. Review functional requirements that are developed for each product/node/software load with key company stakeholders that include key product owners and operation POC's (points of contact). Work with vendors in consolidating and documenting all functional tests. Create Test cases per finalized TOL's (Test Object List): Pre-requisites/pre-conditions, test steps/execution, expected behavior. Provide oversight on the testing efforts, update product defect ticket management system, and monitor progress towards the resolution of issues/defects identified in functional testing efforts.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Requires Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Networks and Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus 2 years of relevant experience in job offered or test engineering similar role. Also requires 2 years of work experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
  • Testing 4G/5G solutions.
  • SDN/NFV/Cloud and VNF MANO concepts.
  • 4G RAN or 5G O-RAN, 5G ORAN stack split functions (7-2x, RU, DI, CUCP, CUUP).
  • Keysight, Spirent products and Wireshark and other node specific tools. HLD, Test plan creation and execution.
  • Virtualized networks, orchestration, and automation across a comprehensive network architecture, deployed in the public/private cloud. 3GPP RAN, Kubernetes, AWS, ORAN.
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $115,000.00/Year
