Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst will monitor daily financial activity, produce weekly and monthly reporting, forecast, and complete financial analysis. Additionally, they will analyze the financial impact of enterprise projects and make recommendations based on that analysis. While this is a Financial Analyst role, this role will have a particular focus on the Accounting side of the team, however there will also be some light forecasting and budgeting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops a thorough understanding of their financial area in order to serve as the Subject Matter Expert, which involves the communication of financial results within and outside of the department, identifying areas of improvement, and working with operations teams to help them understand financial impacts
  • Communicates monthly departmental accruals and invoices, as well as quarterly purchase order requests, to the Accounting department
  • Monitors and reports on financial activity, and effectively communicates any outliers
  • Identify trends in the financial results to facilitate strategic business decisions
  • Works well as both an autonomous contributor and member of a larger analytical team, while also working cross-functionally with other departments
  • Creates detailed and accurate forecasts to facilitate future business decisions
  • Works well with deadlines, while also being able to adapt well to change in a dynamic business environment
  • Reconciles financials and resolves variances with the Accounting department during the month-end process
  • Effectively communicates monthly financial results to department and company leadership
  • Completes cost-benefit analysis for enterprise projects to understand the financial impact
  • Create ad-hoc reports as requested in a timely and accurate manner, assist leadership with various tasks and items as needed, comply with all company policies and departmental procedures, ensuring honest and ethical conduct at all times while maintaining a positive attitude
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 1 year experience in a finance related role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with analytical reporting, data analysis, forecasting, and making recommendations based off of gathered information


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Natural curiosity to explore complex problems and offer well-thought out solutions; ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Advanced-level skill and experience with Microsoft Excel
  • SQL experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, procedures and instructions, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups of vendors and fellow employees
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical and non-technical instructions, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year
