Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Technologies is looking for a Field Engineer (FE) responsible for supporting the Local Receive Facility (LRF) within a specific region. The Field Engineer will provide 24/7 on-call support and assist with installation, maintenance, and optimization of LRF systems.

Your Office is the World: 100% Travel Role: If you thrive in a dynamic environment and prefer the open road to a desk, this 100% travel position is for you. You will be responsible for LRF facilities in the Southeast Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain LRF systems, including DISH, HVAC, and UPS equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting LRF systems and service offerings
  • Work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure proper system performance
  • Maintain accurate As-Built records, including RF levels, site inventories, and equipment details
  • Provide on-call support and manage equipment shipments and deliveries
  • Evaluate LRF colocation facilities for cost-effective and efficient solutions
  • Monitor RF signals and document data, maintaining records in the core repository
  • Develop and manage system changes, documentation, and projects
  • Drive self-development and support overall team goals
  • Maintain financial awareness regarding capital expenditures and resource utilization
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS preferred
  • 5 years in Television Engineering, Cable TV Headend, or related field


Skills and Qualifications:

  • RF collection and processing experience
  • Familiarity with television reception, network cabling, and basic IP networking
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and grounding practices
  • Proficiency with test equipment (DVMM, signal meters)
  • Basic PC and networking skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year
