Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a 5G ORAN Field Engineer, you'll be out in the field keeping our facilities and equipment in top form by maintaining multiple locations in your assigned area. You will be in charge of post construction checks, single site verification, commissioning, site acceptance, testing and maintaining cell sites and edge and local data center installations. You will also be evaluating our network coverage and finding ways to make it even better.
Activities to be performed include:
- Operate, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on cell site equipment.
- Deploy and troubleshoot CU-CP and CU-UP network functions using VMWare Telco Cloud Automation Platform.
- Conduct site inspections, validate configurations, and test equipment using EXFO tools.
- Collaborate with microwave, transport, RF, and construction teams to resolve integration and commissioning issues.
- Maintain inventory records, submit reports, and resolve network tickets within SLAs.
- Ensure compliance with installation standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Experience Required:
- 3+ years of telecom experience in RAN, 4G LTE troubleshooting, and testing, with expertise in PIM, VSWR, MIMO, and RET.
- Proficient in fiber network testing and integration using tools like OTDR, fiberscope, and spectrum analyzers.
- Skilled in base station equipment (e.g., Nokia, Ericsson) and DC power systems (e.g., Galaxy, Alpha).
- Training in digital communications, operating systems, and project management preferred.
- Able to travel up to 75%, work nonstandard hours, and perform physical tasks like lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and intermediate computer knowledge; Google Suite experience is a plus.
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
