Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages and develops cross-functional relationships and strategies to support organizational goals and objectives
  • Establishes Distribution Engineering and Maintenance goals and objectives
  • Interacts with senior management to set objectives and resolve issues
  • Requires the ability to change the thinking and gain acceptance from others on difficult issues
  • Promotes and demonstrates DISH culture
  • Drives process improvements and timely implementation of projects and tasks
  • Defines processes and procedures in conjunction with Distribution Operations staff
  • Monitors system performance and tracks metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Provides accurate and clear communication in both written and verbal forms. Delegates effectively and shares knowledge
  • Pinpoints relevant engineering and maintenance-related training needs
  • Prior experience working within, or with, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Maintenance functions preferred
  • Utilize robotics and automation to improve processes
  • Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling
  • Supervisory responsibility includes staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manages subordinate managers and individual contributors
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Industrial and/or Mechanical Engineering or a similar field and ten plus years of relevant work experience is required; or Master's degree in Engineering or Business and five years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with robotic and automation software such as LabView; Solidworks; and Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Experience with robotics and automation preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Draftsight and Fanuc programming preferred


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Works on issues that require in-depth knowledge of organizational goals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
