Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support our customer connection team that specializes in retention marketing and email acquisition communications. In this role, you will be responsible for creating customer segments for targeted communications and offers, analyze the effectiveness of these campaigns and make recommendations on future improvements to campaigns. Your expertise in SQL and data mining will be crucial in identifying and extracting the right data to build these segments. This role is integral to our company's strategy to reduce customer churn and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Segmentation: Utilize SQL and data mining techniques to identify and create targeted customer segments for retention and acquisition campaigns; develop comprehensive distribution lists based on these segments to ensure precise and effective communication
  • Campaign Analysis: Analyze the performance of customer communication campaigns, measuring key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, retention and churn rates; provide detailed reports and insights to assess campaign effectiveness
  • Post-Campaign Evaluation: Conduct in-depth post-campaign analysis to evaluate the impact of communications on customer retention and acquisition; identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement to enhance future campaign performance
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, customer service, and data science teams to ensure alignment on customer communication strategies and data requirements; collaborate on campaign planning, execution, and optimization efforts
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports to track the performance of customer communication campaigns; ensure stakeholders have access to timely and accurate data for decision-making
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and customer communication; proactively seek opportunities to enhance data analysis processes and techniques
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Analytics, or related field
  • 3+ years in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python or similar tools
  • 1+ years in data visualization tools such as tableau, powerBI or similar tools


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation methodologies and campaign analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools and CRM systems is a plus
