Job Duties and Responsibilities
A Cloud Engineer II with Boost Mobile will work directly in environments supporting automated deployment and management within AWS cloud-native environments. This role will focus on increasing automated recovery and zero-touch provisioning using tools like Kubernetes, Ansible, CloudFormation, GitLab, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer AWS services (e.g., ECR, EC2, ECS, IAM), databases, operating systems, and applications
- Develop and implement scripts to manage operational and administrative tasks
- Proactively recommend software or architecture updates before capacity limitations are reached
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Monitor systems, troubleshoot, and triage issues while developing automated incident responses
- Track system metrics (MTBF, MTTR) and communicate them to decision-makers regularly
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience with AWS or related cloud technologies, and 3+ years in programming (Java, C++, Perl, Python, Shell)
- 3+ years in Linux/Windows system administration, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and 1+ year with Agile methodologies (SAFe, Lean)
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is a must
- Experience with Continuous Deployment Pipeline integration
- Experience working in teams to clarify requirements and collaboratively resolve problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to document requirements and resolve conflicts or ambiguities

Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year
