Job Duties and Responsibilities

A Cloud Engineer I with Dish Wireless will be directly working in environments supporting automated deployment and management on AWS cloud-native environments. This role will focus on increasing automated recovery, zero-touch provisioning, and scaling cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, Ansible, CloudFormation, GitLab, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer AWS resources, operating systems, applications, and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments.
  • Develop Helm charts and YAML files for streamlined deployments.
  • Automate monitoring, upgrades, and security patches to ensure availability.
  • Create technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot Kubernetes issues and build automated incident responses to reduce manual efforts.
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 or more years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or related cloud technologies


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters and deploying microservices in production.
  • Familiar with Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, service mesh, and persistent storage.
  • Effective team collaborator for clarifying requirements and troubleshooting issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and conflict resolution.
  • Proficient with Kubernetes tools (Helm, Prometheus, FluentBit) and scripting languages (Ansible, Python, BASH).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container runtime management (Docker, containerd).
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $72,400.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
