Department Summary

The Manufacturing and Distribution Operations Support department supports operations at various Manufacturing and Distribution centers. The Business Operations Analyst will be responsible for conducting reviews of processes and operations within supported departments and presenting analysis of procedures, creating infrastructure diagrams, developing process requirements for new and updated work processes, and summarizing findings to supporting staff. The Business Operations Analyst will develop development requirements and track their status through completion.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acts as a Customer Success Manager between Manufacturing and Distribution (M&D) IT and M&D Operations
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for process and systems for M&D Operations
  • Consistently reports the progress of issues, enhancements, and projects
  • Responsible for UAT, change management, and Prod validation for all supported M&D IT applications within the El Paso manufacturing site and across other M&D applications as needed
  • Provides top-tier troubleshooting and issue resolution for all supported applications
  • Creates and maintains various documentation on functionality within the platform
  • Coordinates system changes with other IT Ops groups, and the business via CAB meetings
  • Works with vendors for support issues and platform enhancements required by the business
  • Communicates complex terminology in simple understandable ways to Ops team members, management, and non-technical business stakeholders
  • Provides leadership, training, and mentoring to all departments throughout the enterprise on our site applications - must be able/willing to learn various systems and applications and be the SME
  • Defines problem areas on various team, department, and enterprise levels and recommends changes needed to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Manages product quality and implements appropriate corrective/preventive actions required to achieve product readiness and improve product capabilities
  • Develops reporting to monitor usage, accuracy, and capacity utilization and prepares systemic recommendations to resolve issues

Skills:
  • Requires understanding of Lean Manufacturing
  • Requires superior communication and relationship building skills
  • Requires experience with Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan SCALE)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data and reports and make assumptions based on factual data
  • Ability to write scope definitions, reports, and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, system users, and stakeholders
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
  • Ability to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and web application is preferred but not required
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity working with Engineering, Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and Manufacturing project management teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in IT Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Communications
  • MS/MBA Degree in a technical field
Salary Ranges

Compensation: $60,000.00/Year - $75,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
