Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Business is dedicated to always having an engaging and entertaining presence at industry trade shows. The Business Development Representative Event Support Specialist is an essential role that helps generate opportunities. This key team member will take ownership of developing and executing lead management and qualification activities, as well as assigned event projects. They are charged with owning the lead qualification tasks, and providing analysis and reporting on inbound, outbound and event lead generation initiatives. This requires a customer first mentality and results oriented approach. In regards to events, this individual is responsible for ensuring that our teams have everything they need to succeed at live events and that our follow-up efforts are timely and effective. From set-up, to event execution and teardown, they are responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. The position reports to the Sr Manager, Strategic Marketing and Business Development and requires regular collaboration with sales representatives and managers, working with marketing specialists and sales ops, managing vendors and logistics professionals, and coordinating with DISH the print services and shipping departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • In-bound lead management
    • Qualifying, validating, and routing in-bound leads to sales teams and partners
    • Updating Salesforce lead records
    • Customer follow-up and feedback collection
    • Preparing, analyzing, and summarizing reports related to lead performance
    • Strategizing with management team to adjust lead routing processes based on data analysis and performance metrics
    • Sharing feedback in a timely manner with key stakeholders, internal and external
  • Out-bound lead generation
    • Identifying potential customer target groups through various research methods (database, external, internal)
    • Building out value proposition scripts and templates for outreach to solicit new business
    • Executing outreach campaigns to generate new business leads across multiple verticals for warm hand off to sales teams
    • Executing outreach campaigns to drive booth interactions and meetings at tradeshows
    • Executing outreach campaigns to set sales meetings for upper management
    • Monitoring results from campaign outreach and providing analysis and insights regarding performance of each campaign as well as each point of contact
    • Coordinating with sales and marketing to set strategic goals and timelines for outreach activities
    • Working with management and sales reps to review campaign results and discuss ideas for continued improvement and success
  • Event Duties
    • Creating/managing project plans for various event activities. Assisting with event research, evaluation of opportunities, booth design and strategic alignment with stakeholders.
    • Coordinating events, meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and organizing requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments.
    • Updating the event marketing calendar with current dates and fees. Compiling all pertinent information to assist with 2025 execution and 2026 planning.
    • Liaising with sales reps and managers to confirm staff interest and availability.
    • Tracking budget for event marketing programs and facilitating/tracking payments.
    • Responsible for organizing booth assets, and ordering in booth products/services
    • Managing pre-show/post show lists - organizing data for Salesforce use and email
    • Recapping events with manager and team to track results and suggest improvements
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant sales and/or marketing experience

    • Communication skills are a must - this role will work with internal stakeholders across multiple departmental groups, external partners, and potential customers on a regular basis
    • Basic understanding and experience in sales, marketing, events, and business development a plus
    • Drive - this is a new role and success will be defined by the individual's alacrity for learning, growing, and winning

Compensation: $54,650.00/Year - $78,100.00/Year
