Job Description:

Responsible for executing operational excellence and process improvement initiatives on a day-to-day basis, which includes creating future-state processes and metrics based observations to improve operational performance in quality, cost, delivery and risk mitigation. The position facilitates and promotes the understanding and implementation of operational excellence principles and techniques. The role conducts data analyses, including gathering data, analyses and generating insights. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities

  • Application of process analysis methods to identify operational excellence opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce risk prior to automation design.
  • Support detailed requirements gathering, design and development of automations using various tools.
  • Leads process improvement initiatives (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Events, DMAIC/DMADV Projects, 5S/Visual Workplace Program, etc.) using Lean and/or Six Sigma tools. Conducts data analysis using Lean, Six Sigma, and other analytical tools to identify process improvement opportunities. Identifies and develops metrics for sustaining improvement initiatives and measuring business results. Works with leadership to maintain and share best practices as needed.
  • Perform investigatory shadows, process analysis and present recommendations.
  • Perform process mapping and time study observations.
  • Clearly document solution design, job aids and enhancements.
  • Manages multiple process improvement projects at one time. Ensures solutions are consistent with organizational objectives. Builds relationships with all key constituents necessary to deliver project results.
  • Writes requirements and use cases/user stories.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Business Technology, Business Stakeholders and other teams to support automation development activities.
  • Problem solves production issues, which may require transactional processing to complete thorough review of a process.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration and Management, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in Production, Operations, Leadership, Project Management, or related field
  • In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of experience in Production, Operations, Leadership, Project Management, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we'd also look for:

  • 2+ years of experience in Production, Operations, Leadership, Project Management, or related field
  • Background with Lean Six Sigma or other process analysis methods and documentation (LSS Green or Black Belt)
  • Master's Degree in Project Management, Business, Information Technology or related field
  • Familiarity with Python, BluePrism or other RPA applications

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
