Job Description:

The Senior Manager Commercial Payments Product will lead a team of product managers (currently that number will be between 4-6 individuals) through the product management lifecycle.

Supporting both the international and domestic network commercial programs, the senior manager will be responsible for commercial payment solutions including Corporate Cards, Travel Accounts, Virtual Cards, B2B Partnerships, File Services, MIS Reporting (and more) - across corporate and small medium enterprise segments. This individual will need to have the skills to develop a strong business case to assure alignment on key initiatives with executive leadership as well alignment with business technology on the solution. Collaboration and socialization of product initiatives with key stakeholders including business technology, operations and go to market will help drive success.

This individual will also support the overall commercial product strategy through a thorough and consistent pulse of industry happenings, competitive insights, and a vision to 'what's next'.

A successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills that keep the customer first. They will have resilience to push forward when confronted with obstacles, strong time management skills to manage multiple workstreams at once, exceptional organization skills to not only manage a team of product managers but help drive overall team success; they must be action oriented.

Business acumen around budget management, ability to develop strong peer relationships as well as manage up will be important attributes for this individual.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for definition, guidance and execution of product-related activities for a particular portfolio through the entirety of product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap definition to development and market readiness. Sets business objectives for the product development process and oversees execution, internal or external, as necessary. Supervises product managers and product owners. Works with minimal supervision.
  • Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee.

How You'll Do It

  • Lead design, development and implementation of new product strategy to support both domestic and international partners.
  • Grow existing and/or build new product portfolio(s) through new value added features and functionality release and enhanced customer experiences.
  • Provide vision and direction to a team of product managers.
  • Closely liaison with internal stakeholders to deliver on shared goals and priorities

Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering or related
  • 2+ years people management or related experience
  • 6+ years of Product Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Payments, Technology Solutions or Related
  • In lieu of degree, 8+ years of Product Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Payments, Technology Solutions or Related

Bonus Points If You Have

  • 8+ years of Product Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Payments, Technology Solutions or Related
  • Knowledge of payment-domain related skills (ie: schemes, transaction design and processing, data exchange, etc.)
  • Strong collaboration skills with ability to influence.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $106,000.00 to $178,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
