What You'll Do
- We are looking for the engineer to develop, administer and maintain databases for Data and Analytics and Enterprise. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the requirements for data storage and accessibility, strong understanding of networks, data protection and databases, AWS deployments, and SaaS.
- Works intuitively and uses experience to deliver high impact engineering solutions
- Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

How You'll Do It
- Develop and Support NoSQL elastically scalable fully managed Database platform (MongoDB Atlas)
- Document design (JSON) and modeling
- Establish alerts and monitoring (Service Now integration, DataDog)
- Vault Integration and integration with key management
- System tuning and performance
- Backup and Recovery. BCP planning
- Responsible for administration and management of all supported database environments.
- Excellent technical expertise in relevant state-of-the-art data technologies, database warehouse, data security, data systems, and its design.
- Hand on experience with Agile methodologies
- Carries out assignments with minimal coaching and guidance from others.
- Develops, enhances and adheres to engineering and administration standards.
- Upholds and maintains strong documentation.
- Contributes to product delivery, influenced by strategic direction across Business Technology and enterprise including investment decisions (i.e. build vs buy) across multiple products. Uses automation, system tools, open source solutions, observability and 'security first' principles in daily work.
- Contributes to team agile ceremonies, leads demos and presentations, helps new engineers learn established norms.
- Bridges desired Business features to BT capabilities and executes ground work in requirement translations and design. Initiates detailed level solution design approaches across multiple domains, and guides team to achieve desired key software delivery capabilities using automated, coded enterprise and observability.
- Participates in (internal/external) speaking and advocacy events. Coaches core technology communities and is actively engaged in understanding and researching new technologies.
- Researches and adopts new technology solutions and ways to build technical capabilities.
- Continues professional education and creates opportunities for broader engineering teams to learn industry best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:
Bachelors - Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, Information Security, Information Technology or related
6+ years of experience in (Software) Engineering, DevOps or related
Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of Proficient on the Dreyfus Cyber engineering scale.

Bonus Points If You Have
- 4 or more years of experience building, managing and administering data platforms like MongoDB, Snowflake, or other data platforms. Cloud/AWS and onprem technology.
- SaaS platform management
- 3 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- CI/CD pipeline development
- 1-3 years of supporting a large data platform and data pipelining.
- Familiarity with ETL tools (such as Abinitio), Python, and BI tools (Tableau, SAS)
- Knowledge of SQL and database tuning techniques
- MongoDB query language
- Understanding of the network configurations
- The ideal candidate will have experience with at least one of the Pubic Cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- 4-6 years experience in managing databases such as Redshift, Teradata, or Snowflake
- Non-Relational Database Management experience in the past is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $104,000.00 to $175,600.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
