The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Strong mix of legal experience (in house experience preferred) and excellent academic credentials
  • Deep experience with operationalizing data privacy and security requirements, including GDPR, CPRA, and HIPAA, managing security response incidents, building compliance programs across multiple organizations, negotiating DPAs and BAAs, assessing and advising on the impact of new global regulations, etc.
  • Experience with product counseling and IP-related matters, including launching new product offerings and advising on open-source licensing matters (technical background not required but preferred)
  • Experience or familiarity with artificial intelligence, large language models, and associated AI compliance regimes
  • Experience or familiarity with platform trust and safety issues and handling law enforcement requests
  • Interest or familiarity with litigation and regulatory matters
  • Interest or familiarity with cloud computing services and/or IT infrastructure a plus
  • Must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively across numerous departments and all levels of a fast-growing international organization
  • Strong work ethic and interest in product, privacy and regulatory matters
  • Confidence in judgment, abilities and decision making
  • JD and State Bar membership (in good standing)

  • Working closely with relevant business units on the legal aspects of product, AI, privacy and security programs and other related initiatives
  • Advising on product development and key strategic technology initiatives with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring privacy, regulatory, compliance, and other policies and processes
  • Working on and acting as a key decision-maker on critical and novel privacy, security, objectionable content, and other legal/regulatory issues

  • We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is between $168,000 - $200,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
