This person will have an immediate impact on our productivity by streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating objectives to departments. You will serve as a trusted advisor, partner, and manager, enabling the CTO to focus on high-priority tasks and contribute to the organization's long-range planning and vision.

We are looking for a Technology Operations Manager. In this role, you will be a key leader, working directly with the CTO to drive strategic initiatives, streamline operations, and ensure the efficient execution of our technical projects. You will serve as a trusted advisor, partner, and manager, enabling the CTO to focus on high-priority tasks and contribute to the organization's long-range planning and vision. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

What Will You Be Doing:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CTO to develop and execute the technical organization's strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate directly with functional leaders to develop, drive and deliver operational strategies that support business growth
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and management for the technical organization, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Technical Project Management: Oversee and manage key technical projects, tracking progress, identifying risks, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments and leaders within the organization to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Executive Support: Act as the primary point of contact between the CTO and other stakeholders, including executives, partners, and external contacts.
  • Policy and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and implement best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Internal Strategic Communications: Develop and deliver clear and effective communications on behalf of the CTO
  • Special Projects: Undertake special projects and initiatives as directed by the CTO, often requiring cross-functional collaboration and innovation.

What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:

  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role, preferably within a technology-driven organization.
  • Deep expertise in developing, presenting and overseeing financial budgets ensuring alignment with company goals, best practices and regulations in accounting and financial areas.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project execution.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate executive presence and experience managing high-touch relationships and highly visible and sensitive strategy and planning matters
  • Experience scaling and optimizing business processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant cloud and AI software and tools.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Master's degree preferred).

The salary range for this role is specific to candidates located within the U.S. and will vary for candidates outside the U.S..
