About the role

Purpose of the role:

The key purpose of this role is to proactively manage the execution of the global TP agenda and effectively support key operational/documentational TP processes and projects whilst identifying opportunities to improve and simplify ways of working.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Support the execution of the global TP agenda as follows:
  • Supporting the TP manager in the design and delivery of Diageo's TP policies and processes (primarily the ICSP and Margin review processes) including planning and co-ordination of various stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the TP technology solution in Anaplan as a TP admin user in relation to ICSP and TP margin review processes.
  • Working to ensure that the TP process are compliant and supporting evidence is maintained in accordance with Diageo's control framework.
  • Supporting the TP documentation process, focusing on data gathering, processing and data reconciliation, as well as the review of TP local files.
  • Supporting the wider TP team in ad hoc projects to execute, develop, set, and defend Diageo's TP policies.
  • Supporting the wider TP team in resolving ad-hoc Tax authority / Global tax / market queries.


Top Accountabilities:
  • Ensure optimal execution and implementation of Diageo's TP policies and processes (primarily the ICSP and Margin review processes).
  • Ensures that the TP technology solution(s) used for the execution of our processes remain fit for purpose and coordinating technology support when required.
  • Supports the SOX/SAO compliance process from a TP perspective.
  • Supports the TP documentation process, focusing on data gathering, processing and data reconciliation, as well as the review of TP local files.


What you'll bring
  • Degree in Finance/Tax/Accounting with 3-4 years of relevant experience (either in practice or at a large multinational)
  • Detailed financial modelling / Excel (or equivalent) experience and familiarity with data extraction, manipulation and presentation
  • Experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Confidence in working with limit data and with tight deadlines
  • Commercially astute, analytical thinker with the ability to evaluate complex financial data and an ability to distil complex concepts into clear and simple messages
  • Excellent communication skills that facilitate effective networking and relationship building.
  • Inquisitive, patient and open to new ideas and ways of solving a problem
