Business Function Introduction:

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Design and Prepare technical specifications for Newgen Project/Process implementation
  • Analyze business requirements to determine the feasibility of automating these processes. Help define frameworks and standards for carrying out this type of analysis quickly and efficiently
  • Map business requirements to different tools, automation techniques, capabilities and services for different automation needs
  • Define detailed standards and work instructions around how to develop robust and resilient automations
  • Define development approach and best practices to implement the solutions
  • Address various Workflow requirements, primarily around business process automation from multiple industry groups to quickly assess and arrive at a plan to deliver the required services
  • Build capabilities of Automation practice - to create differentiating position for Diageo in the market
  • Handle delivery and operations responsibilities of the practice - collaborating closely with delivery organization
  • Lead a practice passionate about Automation across IT /Applications/Business processes
  • Build capabilities of Automation practice - to create differentiating position for Diageo in the market
  • Establish and cultivate strategic collaborations in Automation domain
  • Leverage and collaborate with other practices within DBSI to drive a holistic automation capability across Diageo Enterprise
  • Engage internal collaborators customers, define automation strategies for Towers/Business teams
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery
  • Ensures the ongoing process/system capability associated with projects and handles any changes required to meet or exceed the expectations established in project designs
  • Lead a team of developers, senior developers & Solution Architects
  • Develop and support different service offerings of Newgen and work very closely with the global teams to support and deliver global projects
  • Mentor team members (solution architects, developers)
  • Support Junior/Senior developers by providing required training on Newgen
  • Ensure the codes are Built as per Newgen Standards
  • Conduct Code review & provide feed back to team
  • Put checks & balances to ensure the code standards are followed


Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
  • Overall experience of 10+ years with working knowledge to NewGen Product Suite - iBPS, OmniDocs. BRMS, Java, J2EE
  • Agile approach and great teammate.
  • Must have led projects implementing NewGen Platform and has knowledge of NewGen infrastructure.
  • Capable of delivering on multiple contending priorities with little supervision
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to resolve technical issues associated with NewGen solutions
  • Provide mentorship to the team on technical solutions and help with issue resolution
  • Strong presentation skills and networking skills
  • Have a self-starter approach, eagerness to learn and remain above the technology curve.
  • In depth understanding of Automation/ Workflow concepts
  • Experience in Consumer Products (CPG) or in Consulting firms
  • Good understanding of Automation, Lean, Transformation and new age innovative automation technologies.
  • Experience in Senior partnership management including persons working at higher grades.
  • Experience in applying automation principles across IT services
  • Experience in Automation/RPA platforms- Past experience of application dev/maintenance/business process management
  • Good knowledge of IT architectures and integration requirements
  • Lead the teams as an architect/consultant
  • Data driven thinking, a passion for data and clear understanding of the value this can hold to a commercial business.
  • Ability to Challenge status quo, come with an Innovative approach
  • Good understanding of Technology and architecture concepts
  • Team building and team management skills
