About the role:

MAIN OBJECTIVE

To establish, implement, and oversee sustainability-related systems in alignment with company policies, corporate standards, and legal requirements, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in sustainability practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordination and Monitoring: Lead and track sustainability projects to drive strategic initiatives effectively.
  • Strategy Development: Provide insights and contribute to shaping the market-specific sustainability strategy in alignment with global objectives.
  • Management Systems Support: Facilitate the implementation and continuous improvement of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems, including GRMS, SFIP, and ISO 14001.
  • KPI Monitoring: Oversee global environmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for local operations, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Global Alignment: Collaborate closely with global teams to maintain consistency between market operations and overarching corporate sustainability strategies.
  • Implementation & Control: Develop and execute sustainability initiatives at the market level, ensuring practical application and integration into business processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead control measures, engage with local stakeholders, and seamlessly integrate sustainability controls into daily operations.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and update market-related documentation for global sustainability projects, ensuring compliance and traceability.
  • Control Assurance: Ensure robust sustainability control mechanisms are in place across the market.
  • ESG Compliance & Data Integrity: Support the internal assurance process for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of sustainability-related information.
  • Collaboration with Sky Programme: Engage with the central Sky Programme team to understand control objectives and contribute to the final design framework.
  • Social Compliance: Gather and disseminate relevant information on social compliance to appropriate stakeholders, ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience
  • Degree: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in relevant fields
  • Preferred Fields: Engineering disciplines (preferably Environmental, Chemical Engineer)
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a relevant field


Technical & Soft Skills
  • Language Proficiency: Strong command of English (both written and spoken)
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in MS Office Suite for efficient data analysis and reporting
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal regulations and industry standards related to sustainability and environmental compliance
  • Driving License: Possession of a Class B driver's license

  • Strong Organizational & Planning Skills: Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and ensure seamless execution.
  • Analytical & Results-Oriented Approach: Strategic mindset with a problem-solving attitude to drive measurable impact.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Presentation & Communication Skills: Ability to deliver compelling presentations and communicate complex sustainability concepts effectively.

OPTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of carbon footprint analysis, waste management, and circular economy principles
  • Hands-on experience in sustainable supply chain management
  • Certification in environmental auditing or sustainability-related standards (e.g., ISO 14064, LEED, BREEAM)
  • Understanding of renewable energy projects and carbon reduction strategies
  • Experience in engaging with regulatory bodies, NGOs, and industry stakeholders
