What will your role be?

The focus of the Supply Planning Manager role is to manage the activities and processes associated with balanced delivery of all Diageo Supply metrics, specifically related to Service, Inventory, Cash and the leadership & development of the supply planning team.

The supply planning manager will need to ensure product availability to meet customer demand, thereby supporting sales and market growth. Positioned within the broader supply chain function, this role has significant influence over inventory management, production planning, and supplier coordination to drive efficiencies and reduce costs across the supply chain. Additionally, it mitigates risks and ensures seamless operations, contributing to overall business performance and customer satisfaction.

What does this role look like for you?
  • Monitor and analyse supply planning performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process optimization.
  • Manage and analyse all inventories within the market to provide clarity and visibility to the business. This includes Inventory value, days of supply and pallets, which are used to provide a monthly inventory cash forecast.
  • For local products, this involves developing high-quality capacity, production and finished goods inventory plans utilising best practice processes and sound business judgment and alignment of long-term production Planning with our MAKE team.
  • For Import products, it involves working with our global planning teams to manage the replenishment strategy to achieve customer service and inventory objectives.
  • Engage, lead and develop people the Supply Planning team to optimise the potential and performance of both individuals and the team. This person will be seen as an on-site leader across the broader supply team.
  • Build and maintain exceptional relationships with internal/external customers and external service providers to support our sales strategy.

What will you bring to the table?
  • Bachelor Degree qualified (APIC's certification highly regarded)
  • Min 8 years experience including a mix of Customer, Systems & team leadership (Ideally in FMCG, pharmaceutical or beverage industries).
  • Demonstrated success in Demand or Supply Chain Planning.
  • Solid end to end supply chain understanding.
  • Leading, coaching and partnering people for growth.
  • Superior analytical and mathematical/numeracy skills.
  • Strong influencing and problem solving skills.
  • Strong demonstrated critical thinking and logic skills with proven record of success in fast moving environment.
  • Open minded and creative in solution development.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-confidence and conflict resolution skills.
