About the Role:

The SCD, SEA is the face of Supply Chain and Procurement to the Managing Director and the Executive Team as well as external stakeholders, such as customers.

The SCD is part of the SEA Executive Leadership Team, playing a key leadership role in bringing topline, bottom-line, cash and organizational ambition of Diageo SEA to life.

Within the Exec, the most important role of the SCD is to make SEA Diageo the #1 supplier in the TBA market. This will come through taking customer collaboration to the next level, delighting our customers, every case, every day, everywhere, and driving value through effective partnership with customers resulting in strong joint business plans and joint value creation.

In addition, s/he is also accountable to coordinate the interfaces with Planning, Logistics, Brand Change and Innovation, Manufacturing via wholly owned and third party sites and partner with all others as needed to be able to deliver the service, inventory, forecast accuracy/bias, innovation and cost savings.
  • S/he will lead all the dimensions such as run, improve, and transform,
  • S/he will lead and manage the market specific supply organization,
  • S/he will be the custodian for process, people, and digital capabilities, and operationalizing all the learnings and insights.


Interfaces:

This role operates within a very complex and evolving network with the following dimensions:
  • All the countries/ Markets within the SEA market- Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and Strategic Partnerships
  • All Route to Market channels supervised by the market MD, and consequently all of the customers.
  • All SC&P interfaces (Market facing function Planning & Logistics COE teams, Category teams at source)
  • Digital tools such as APO/OMP, SAP S4 Hana implementation in Supply, Anaplan


Top Accountabilities:
  • Build a supply chain that is agile by design to be able to respond to market volatility within SEA markets. This involves partnership with P&L Leadership teams in putting in strategic interventions (such as supply network design etc.) and tactical interventions as required.
  • Lead and improve customer collaboration, such as, and not limited to:
    • Service as measured by the Customer and Diageo
    • Driving daily reliability/ supply supportability: daily/weekly/monthly tracking and improvement of the Case Fill Rate (CFR) on time/in full (OTIF), OSA (on shelf availability).
    • Collaborative forecasting in the markets via IBP programme
  • Leading and coaching the SEA supply organization that is made up of 5 Head of Supply/ SCDs within the markets and their respective market supply team (direct & indirect reports)
  • Key sponsor for ensuring the IBP process within the market works to the right standards, for business to be able to drive supply supportability balancing both inventory targets and NSV delivery.
  • Partner with SC&P to deliver the 4C's: customer service, cost, cash, carbon, as well as the innovation.
  • The key interfaces are:

    - Manufacturing (1 Wholly owned & 5 Third Party Sites)

    - Planning (Integrated Business Planning, Demand and Supply)

    - Logistics (4 3PL warehouses)

    -Brand Change and Innovation (locally commercialized & imports)
  • Secure the reputation of Diageo with strong governance of supply chains across the areas of Health & Safety, Quality, Food Safety, Environment Sustainability, Risk Management & Supplier Compliance.


Experience required/Skills/Capabilities

Previous Successful Experience:
  • Having directly worked with senior business leadership.
  • External collaboration, ideally in the customer space.
  • Minimum 12 years' experience working within progressive positions within the end-to-end Supply Chain function, within multiple disciplines. First hand planning experience in IBP, S&OP, S&OE, Demand Planning is crucial.
  • Leading change across the supply chain, through value driven collaborative partnership. Proven track record in designing, shaping and implementing complex change agenda and transferring work from one location to another.
  • Has developed and successfully implemented strategies.
  • Has led cost savings in the past,
  • Has performed as L4 roles in the past (this is not a first promotion role)
  • Experience in multiple routes to markets including e-commerce.

  • Digital dexterity. Previous experience (and hunger to learn) on advanced planning tools, digital control towers, BI, etc.


Desirable:
  • Experience with direct operational accountability of delivery on outcomes in a market of a group of markets working in a multinational CPG / FMCG
  • BSc in engineering, supply chain, data science/statistics/applied mathematics, economics. Additional MBA or MSc in Supply Chain Management or similar would be desirable.
