Role Responsibilities:
Purpose of Role:
The objective of the role is to ensure that all USL Locations including Units, Offices, Depots Operating Safe and there is enhancement in maturity of EHS standards by working on following focus areas,
in the Region:
1.All locations safety standards are aligned to global Standards on EHS (GRMS) and SFIP Stds
2. There is maturity in culture of Safety system BBS and Process safety in the region
3.Support Safety in Demand Team - including Offices/driving Safety
4. Support Safety in Move team - including Depots/Logistics
5.Support Demand Team - for External Events Safety Reviews and support
6. Drive i-Drive Programme across the region
7. Mature EHS Audit System
8. Mature Engagement, communication and initiative drives are taken across all locations
9.Work on focus initiatives/projects in embedding use of Technology/Digitization in enhancing workplace Safety and monitoring
10.Project Safety Reviews
11.Drive and co-ordinate in implementing IMS - ISO 45001,ISO 14001,BSC standards across locations
12 Improve Safety Standards in TMU Operations through maturing mechanism on Building Capability, Engagement & strong Governance
13. Anchor PSM deployment in Own Units and maturing it
In additional to Regional Role - the Position will also anchor as SME for Deployment Digital Projects and Drive BBS/SBO Programme across Locations as SME
Qualification:
• B.E./B. Tech/Equivalent in Engineering/Master in Science( with post graduate diploma in Industrial Safety/Env from a recognized institution)
Experience:
• 10-15 yrs of post qualification experience in managerial capacity in a manufacturing Organization and having at least 2 years working experience in Corporate/regional set up (Like Process Organization, Chemical, Manufacturing preferred):

depth Knowledge of manufacturing operations and EHS implications
• Knowledge on Workplace Safety Standards
• Good understanding of EHS Audits/Legal compliance
• ISO 45001,14001,BSC (British Safety Council),DuPont Safety, Project Safety etc.
• Experience in Office, Depot, Establishment EHS
• Plants and Project Safety, including experience in driving Digital Projects in EHS
• Experience in Plants and Project Safety, PSM (HAZOPs), SBO/BBS
• Experience in Driving Performance Management
• Good Communication, Training and influencing Skills
• Experience in Environment, ETP & Waste Mgmt.
Area of Responsibility:
1.Global Standards on EHS (GRMS) and SFIP Framework
• Focus & periodic review of EHS (GRMS- Global Risk Management System) and SFIP compliance across all Locations
• Engage and mature understanding and maturity in GRMS/SFIP across all locations
• Schedule and monitor review with all locations and build project pipeline for Capex to improve Compliance on the Same
• Process safety deployment in the region
• Develop mechanism to co-relate maturity of each site with respect to compliance and activity events at site.. Do checks and balance ensuring Zero harm at workplace
2.Driving BBS/SBO Program
• Anchor BBS/SBO Programme
• Build Capability in BBS/SBO and supports the Units in the same
• Lead SBO/BBS -COE and monitor various KPIs and provide insights to Units for actions
3.Digital Project Management
• Lead in identifying the requirement and Funneling of Project on Digital in EHS
• Project lead for Deployment of various Digital Projects
4. Maturity in culture of Safety across Organization/Engagement
• Safety Communication and Engagement Plan and execution
• Design and Drive mass engagement Campaign (Safety Month, Driving Safety, Fire Safety, Environment Month, Health Campaign)
• Sharing and learning and ensure lesson learnt are communicated and robust Horizontal deployment across all locations
5.Mature EHS Audit System
• Plan, Co-ordinate and conduct Safety audits of all operating plants, offices & depots
• Co-ordinate building capability/engagement/Cross learning of EHS team
• Build EHS performance Scorecard & recognition system
6.Improve Safety Standards in TMU Operations
.Improve Safety Stds in TMU operations through maturing mechanism on Building Capability, Engagement & strong Governance
• Mature reporting governance on L&L indicators in TMU units
• Build Capability of Safety resource at TMUs through Training
• Regionwise focus review of TMU in maturing Safety stand and reportout EHS performance scorecard
• Work closely with TMU - Cluster Head/Compliance team - to have action plan to help improve EHS L1 Scores for Units
7.Office Safety/Depot Safety/Driving Safety/Business Travel Safety/Demand- Ext Event Safety Support
• Driving Safety - i-Drive Safe Campaign
• EHS Committee Engagement and review - Offices and Depots
• EHS Scorecard for Offices/Depots
• Ensure and co-ordinate support and compliance on Events Safety
• Support Demand team for Ext Event Safety Support
• Support and review Business Travel Risk/Empanelment of Hotel/Travel Agency Align to Diageo driving safety stds
8.Special Projects/Initiatives/Project Safety
• Evaluating an Piloting Technology/Digitization in enhancing work place Safety
• Work towards implementation of IMS - ISO 45001,ISO 14001,BSC- Sword of Honor, GreenCo Rating
• Work with Project (Capex Team) and support in improvement of Project Safety/Contractors safety
