About the Market:
- The Caribbean and Central America (CCA) market is a Diageo business unit that generates approx. £300m NSV. CCA is the most profitable market in LAC both in terms of absolute operating profit and margin. 90% of our NSV is USD invoiced.
- CCA is a very dynamic market with many opportunities. Our geographical footprint covers 37 countries, where different languages are spoken and we have a population of 80m, 52m of whom are LDA+. Our model is a distributor based RTC with over 40 partners. We also manage several co-packing partnerships throughout the region, and Panama is home to our innovation technology center and principal warehousing operations.
- The Scotch category accounts for approx. 70% of Total NSV, predominantly playing in the Premium and Super Premium segments; Diageo share of market in Scotch varies from 45% to 75% across the region - making us the number one player.
Purpose of the role:
The Reserve Activation Executive is responsible to adapt reserve brand experiences in the OnTrade channel and shoppable touchpoints in the most influential venues in DR. The role will focus primarily on engaging our commercial teams and our distributors to move from strategy to execution flawlessly.
The role works closely with Brand Team(s) to create brand assets in assigned accounts for priority reserve brands to enable and successfully execute staff training, menu and feature printing, back bar management and merchandising.
Key Outputs:
- Manages influential accounts, such as high-end hotels and iconic restaurants, as well as finding reserve accounts new opportunities which will be adding to current clients.
- Develop customer advocacy activation plan in partnership with Brand Marketing
- Manage program rollout for each channel (TLA, Gold, Off) and ensure the quality & consistency of Reserve channel activation.
- Personification of the Reserve Portfolio.
- Responsible for executing the commercial/activity calendar ensuring we have effective promotions and a winning mix of brand & category activity to drive business performance within customers/channel and that all deliverables are OTIF.
- Delivers flawless execution through an effective cycle planning & briefing process.
- Delivers performance against set of KPI's (inlc availability, MPA, Brilliant Execution) working alongside marketing teams to drive right content in the most influential accounts.
- Tracks channel execution compliance of cycle activity plans and promotional plans (Brands and category plans) against well-defined Execution Scorecard metrics (distribution, visibility, share of shelf, Scale...)
- Tracks A&P and trade spend highlighting its evolution to CP Manager and is responsible for preparing activities Pre and Post M&E
- Creates/executes in-store/outlet visibility solutions and support materials to drive brilliant execution in the PoS, focusing on channel needs and execution guidelines.
- Supports Sales Opex team with Commercial Standards - Outlet Execution and Customer Planning implementation.
- Performs regular trade (weekly) visits to identify opportunities and provide solutions to drive incremental sales.
- Generates input for S&OP meetings and co-lead with CM the Monthly Performance Review with Distributors (Distributor BPM)
About you:
- Bachelor's Degree required in Business or related field. MBA a plus.
- English and Spanish required.
- Minimum 6 years of experience at manager level in sales and /or customer marketing /trade marketing areas with specific experience of distributor-based businesses within a CPG company.
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with a range and adaptability of style.
- Good understanding of retailer and/or distributor strategy, operations and complex motivations of shoppers, consumers and customers is essential.
- Strong presentation skills.
