About the role:

This is a fixed-term role until the end of 2025. It is not day-rate contracting, the successful candidate would be eligible for annual leave and benefits proportionate to the duration of the fixed-term role.

The primary focus of this role is to support management in providing assurance on the effectiveness of Diageo risk management and control procedures and to help improve Diageo's response to particular risks or risk areas within Segregation of duties and sensitive access rights.

Additional scope of the position is to support projects, entities/functions with analysis on their accesses to sustain and improve their response to segregation of duties risks.

Financial Dimensions:
  • Best-in-class SoD risk management and control framework within Diageo, both for Group Functions and markets
  • Single point of contact in case of SoD queries for GBO and D&T processes, Global Governance and Compliance team, Global Functions and markets as appropriate, using the most suitable communication channel and escalation route
  • Leading role in the management and coordination of the SoD activities within the whole financial year to ensure delivery of the project objectives as per the timetable
  • Timely and effective communication of the key messages of Segregation of Duties topics to all levels and with all internal and external stakeholders.


This role requires thorough understanding of GBO, D&T, Group Functions (Corporate, Treasury) and market processes, with special focus on related access rights.

The role provides a great insight to Diageo processes, independently from being performed in GBO, D&T, Group Functions or on the markets

Purpose of Role:

There has been a high demand amongst Diageo business units to gain higher confidence and overall understanding on SoD compliance, which is a truly challenging area.

The purpose of the role is to ensure SoD-activities of centralized markets and core functions will be provided with effective and efficient SoD control framework.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities:
  • Perform weekly/monthly Access Risk Analysis (GRC) tool report and create trend analysis compared to previous period's report, highlight significant differences and investigate potentially invalid SoD-risks
  • Perform weekly/monthly mitigating controls in line with Group SoD-policy based on mitigating control scripts, follow-up any escalated items and document all evidences properly
  • Evaluate requests for new or changed access to SAP considering general access related principles and best practices
  • Review the proposed access rights with the Access Risk Analysis (GRC) tool to determine if any SOD violations are created by the new access


Qualifications and Experience Required:

- University/College degree in finance/business

- Ideally 2 - 3 years working experience in a multinational corporate environment, with exposure to some of the following areas:
  • Internal / external audit or SOX experience
  • Experience with one or more of the Shared services process activities
  • Process improvement
  • Project management
  • Business consulting
  • Risk assessment
  • Stakeholder management


- Excellent English knowledge

- Strong MS application:
  • Outlook
  • Excel
  • Word
  • PowerPoint

- Sound knowledge of relevant SAP modules is an advantage

- Knowledge of SAP GRC, Access Risk Analysis tool is an advantage
