About the role
Diageo is embarking on a multi-year business transformation programme, Project Voyager, to redesign its global business processes enabled by the implementation of a new Digital Core.

As part of this transformation journey, Diageo will implement SAP S/4 HANA to create new digital business models and processes so the company can take the lead in the digital economy.
This role will support the journey by assisting in the implementation and systems setup of SAP S/4 HANA with accompanying tax technology solutions to effect robust, automated and well-controlled tax processes.
The purpose of this role is to drive the design, implementation, and rollout of new business processes and technology solutions including SAP S/4 HANA, and a Global Trade Management platform which together will address the efficient and effective management of Diageo's Global Trade and Customs obligations.
This role sits in Global Tax and will work closely with our external and internal technology providers.
- Participate and proactively provide input as the trusted Tax Technology advisor on required project workshop, driving process improvements, simplification, efficiency and eliminating manual work.
- Develop all project documentation as required.
- Collaborate closely with the internal and external project leads, and other project members from Global Tax to identify new solutions to any challenges presented.
- Provide first-class tax technology support to the Project Voyager Implmentation Lead and Implementation Managers.
What you'll bring
Practical working experience of operating one or more core tax compliance processes (CIT, WHT, VAT, Customs and Excise)
- A strong understanding and interest in tax technology
- SAP S/4 HANA experience is welcome
- At least 4 years' experience in SSC delivering tax compliance and / or FMCG / Big 4 advisory environment
- Experience of process mapping and/or demonstrable work on process improvement
- A highly rigorous and inquisitive mindset with exceptional focus on detail
- Ability to challenge the status quo and raise (and have answered) questions accordingly
- Strong communication and influencing skills, proven ability to align multiple stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Accounting knowledge
