This role is based at our Runcorn site, a 24/7 operation on an 18-acre facility with state-of-the-art packaging capabilities. With 2 bottling lines, 2 canning lines, and a kegging line, we produce 90+ SKUs and 16 beer types, delivering an impressive 23 million cases annually for the UK, Ireland, and export markets.

About the Role
We are seeking a diligent Quality Assurance Technician to join our Global Supply Team in Runcorn on a 12 Month FTC, please note that this role will require you to work a shift pattern. This role supports the small pack production process, from beer intake to finished goods loading, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
As part of the shift quality team, you will work closely with stakeholders such as the Team Manager, production coordinators, operators, engineers, and compliance teams. Responsibilities include conducting quality analysis, calibrating equipment, auditing processes, and ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting quality audits to ensure compliance with production and quality standards.
- Performing routine calibration of instrumentation and carrying out cleaning and maintenance as required.
- Inputting accurate results of ‘complex' analysis into SAP and Harford in a timely manner.
- Maintaining appropriate stocks of laboratory chemicals, disposables, and consumables.
- Setting up and ensuring the effective implementation of new methods and processes.
- Conducting routine Process Control audits to verify compliance with Quality Control plans.
- Providing information and records to support problem-solving initiatives and actively participating in their resolution.
- Responding appropriately to out-of-spec results for components and packaged beer to mitigate risks.
- Recognising faults and fault trends during team meetings and collaborating on identifying effective solutions.
Health and safety compliance is key, and you'll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside ensuring both site and personal KPI's are achieved.
About You
For this role, we are seeking a candidate with shown experience in a Quality Assurance position within an FMCG environment, a strong background of excelling in challenging, quality and customer-focused settings, and the ability to decisively make decisions under pressure with minimal direction.
Essential Requirements:
- HNC qualification or higher in a relevant science subject area.
- Strong proficiency in analytical techniques.
- Familiarity with information systems, with SAP experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of laboratory and on-line inspection instrumentation.
- Knowledge of quality systems, including HACCP, Food Safety, and ISO9001.
- Awareness of statistical process control methods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness.
Preferred Skills:
- Auditing expertise to perform process control and due diligence audits.
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Food and Drink.
