Role Context

Global Business Operations (GBO) is a global multifunctional shared service entity that processes DIAGEO-wide transactions across various world regions. Processes in scope are: Sells to Cash (STC), Source to Pay (STP) and Record to Report (RTR) and Data Services (MDM).

Diageo also has Captive Centers that support service provision in Global markets. GBO is a multicultural, multi-language and matrixed environment.

A program is underway to establish a Captive Service Centre in Bangalore to service global markets.

The Data Service Stream in GBO provides master data services which inclusive of data compliance and maintenance activities for GBO served countries. This is being realized in cross-market and end-to-end functional responsibilities with the aim to continue the great steps forward that have been achieved in FY22 by the Data community.

The Data Service stream underpins and enables the proper operation of the business processes by ensuring timely, accurate, compliant, and relevant master data maintenance - processes being STP, STC, RTR, ETEC, HRO, Supply chain. Master data maintenance in scope for the team are: Vendor, Customer, Finance, Commercial, Employee and Product & Supply master data.

The Master Data Services supporting & serves multiple markets / countries across the globe Diageo operating business.

Dimensions

The role is responsible for a specific area of Master Data maintenance across GDBS served markets.

Market Complexity

The role would entail responsibility for the step change, standardization and process harmonization of Master Data maintenance across GDBS served countries.

Purpose of Role

The purpose of this role is to accompany the creation and amendment of Customer/Vendor/Employee/Product/Supply/Finance Master Data to be onboarded in Coupa and ultimately in SAP for Mexico market, within the agreed lead-times, and while maintaining business compliance. The role will also be involved in the daily activities of the Master Data process, escalations, issues resolutions, handling of complaints and improvement initiative manage.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities

Data Maintenance

• Create and maintain Master Data based on authorized business requests, according to the relevant policies and procedures

• Review Master Data Quality to ensure data is accurate and complete.

• Work closely with stakeholders on timely & accurate completion of master data maintenance activities.

• Achieve individual goals including daily task, turn around time, accuracy and knowledge in the business process.

Operational Reporting

• Complete and issue data-oriented reporting as requested on a timely basis

Process Improvement

• Identify and pursue opportunities to streamline processes and increase process compliance with our stakeholders.

Training and Capability Enhancement

• Train new team members and provide basic insight for stakeholders on data-related processes in SAP.

• Evaluate level of Right First Time requests versus rejections to identify any capability gaps to be addressed.

Qualifications and Experience RequiredEssential

• Fluency in English and Spanish.

• 2-3 years' relevant work experience in STP or vendor master domain

• Knowledge of vendor master tools such as Coupa, compliance desktop workflows, etc.

• Understanding vendor master SLA's, generating required reports, and reviewing with stakeholders

• Excellent in working on office application

• Should have adequate knowledge about process improvement tools and technologies

• Attention to Detail/Accuracy - Demonstrates sound commitment to importance of "right first time" principle through ensuring own work is 99% error-free

• Ability to work in a complex cross-functional or multinational environment

• Knowledge of STP process and more specific to Vendor /Customer Master domain

• SAP knowledge for Vendor / Customer master

• Perform Vendor master Creation/Amendment/Cloning/Block/Deletion in SAP Procuring approval for exception requests & reviewing documentation

• Updating and maintaining critical information (bank account details/TAX details)

• Publishing report every month to procurement/market

• Query handling by coordinating with data coordinator/procurement/governance or relevant stakeholder

• Quarterly review of DTP to foresee any process deviation for specific market

• Perform testing in SAP test environment on any new technical change in system

• E2E ownership on the controls specified to the tasks

Desirable:

• Demonstrated energy and drive to make a difference in the data role.

• Prior business experience is preferable.

• Strong communication skills, clearly and concisely explaining processes or reasons for rejection of data requests.

• Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.

• Strong Excel (macro preparation) experience
