About the Role

Based in our brand new Seoul office, reporting to Korea Managing Director, this is a pivotal position in driving business transformation agenda for Diageo Korea, accelerating the Marketing transformation, and growing the international spirits presence. You will be responsible for:
  • Leading Diageo Korea strategy development and recommending portfolio/investment choices to deliver sustained share growth in TBA (Total Beverage Alcohols).
  • Consumer obsessed constantly accessing fast and slow data about the category, consumer, competition, and trends to put brands in culture and build the best marketing plans.
  • Formulating ambitious & innovative marketing strategies that strengthen Diageo brand position.
  • Create and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns focused on consumer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Drive Digital Marketing Efforts leading transformative change enabled by technology with data-drive insights.
  • Having strong P&L accountability that monitors and drives brand performance to ensure it meets category AOP(Annual Operating Plan) and anticipates and manages upsides and risks to ensure achievement of targets with great resource allocation.
  • Leading and delivering exemplary compliance/ethics agenda in marketing and the broader Diageo Korea Controls agenda.
  • Embedding our brands in culture through platform creation, communication, and product development initiatives
  • Partnering with Sales Director to ensure channel, customer, and distributor programs deliver the right consumer and brand strategy.
  • Partnering with Luxury sales head to shape the market by creating a long-lasting impression on premiumization of the Diageo luxury portfolio
  • Engaging with consumers, customers, and distributors to generate winning insights that deliver breakthrough programs.
  • Building capability of the DK marketing team to develop a world-class marketing organization, bringing to life the principles of DWBB and Next Gen Marketing
  • Able to build trust and respect through open and honest relationships with their team and across the business.


To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Extensive relevant experience, including ten or more years in a senior Marketing general management position in an FMCG company or similar, Experience in alcoholic beverages industry will be advantageous.
  • Able to shape and influence future strategy to redefine the market, take industry leadership and "change the game".
  • Must have a strong awareness of the impact of environmental, regulatory, social, and legal individual business objectives.
  • Purpose driven, authentic & inclusive people manager with proven experience in coaching & developing teams with diversity as a core strength.
  • A strong and broad track record in Marketing and extended Commercial Marketing.
  • Must be forward-thinking and understands profit and how it drives decision-making, plus Action orientated and hands on approaches.
  • Act as an entrepreneurial self-starter that can create opportunities and partnerships where none previously existed.
  • Being comfortable operating in ambiguity, influencing senior stakeholders and can charismatically move the business with you.
  • Having an external and competitor radar, understanding best practice from adjacent markets and categories.
