About the role
This role is part of the global Planning team in Diageo which is a key part of Diageo's Supply Chain and Procurement organisation. Our ambition is to deliver best-In-Class service & inventory performance by partnering across the end-to-end Supply Chain. Through seamless relationships we will enable outstanding performance, growth, and best cost and service for our customers. In the planning team we are driving agility in the end-to-end Supply Chain that follows a segmented approach and will enable us to react quickly to evolving market needs, as well as driving continuous high Customer Service.
The Market planning team is responsible for overall ownership of volume for global shipment, production, and inventory from our Global Brands supply sites in Europe. We are a consistent face to all the Diageo markets and drive end-to-end value across the network. The role of the Supply Chain (Market) Planner is to be the key point of contact for an assigned market to optimize the Market Supply (replenishment) plan for the full horizon.
You will work with a range of stakeholders whilst being responsive and flexible in your approach.
The Supply Chain (market) planner is the key point of contact between our supply sites and an assigned market to optimize the Supply network plan for the full horizon. The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Optimize the Supply Chain KPIs by balancing Service, Volumes & Inventory for the end-to-end network of your assigned market - Analyse and evaluate the supply shipment plan and net dispatch requirements to satisfy customer needs considering network complexity and supply constraints
- Market Intelligence & Analytics - Own, review and understand the demand signal (Shipment plan) for the full horizon and be an ambassador of market requirements within supply, material planning and operational teams
- Lead the S&OP Supply Review for the assigned market, analysis and understanding key trends, track and manage allocations and lead innovation and renovation projects for your assigned market
- Own the supply network data configuration for the assigned market and make sure that is appropriately reflected in the planning system (SAP APO)
- World Class Relationships & communications - Be the main point of contact between the Global Brands supply sites and the Markets supply chain & the regional customer service teams. Lead the planning improvement agenda with the assigned market.
About you
- To be successful in the role you will have a Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent Supply Chain / Analytical degree from a leading institution and relevant (end-to-end) Supply Chain planning experience within a leading organisation
- You are an experienced user of an ERP and/or planning system (SAP ECC6 and/or APO preferred)
- You have Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- You remain positive in ambiguous environment and challenging situations, strong proactivity and flexibility required
- You will have great interpersonal skills with comfort in networking and influencing others with different cultures and across all levels of the organisation. Must hold self and others to account regarding clarity in roles and responsibilities
- Great teammate - Ability to coach and train peers
