About the function

Global Business Operations (GBO) owns and delivers processes and business services critical to the day-to-day performance of Diageo. Our focus is on delivering standardised financial and business services to Diageo's markets and functions while driving process transformation. We operate from our global network of centres in Bengaluru, Budapest, Bogota, and Manila.

About the role

This position will play a meaningful role in executing the Capability Strategy for GBO & the Controllers group.. The role holder will work with the functional head to co-create the strategic priorities roadmap and execution plan for the GBO Experience teams across locations, building a culture of continuous learning by supporting employees in building skills for the future and investing in their careers. The role will require working closely with subject matter authorities and senior leaders across GBO, designing learning assets, handling certifications, demonstrating the latest learning technology, and drawing insights from the skills data.

  • 1. Support the Functional head in crafting the Strategic priorities roadmap and execution plan for the GBO Experience teams across locations
  • 2. Responsible for the successful execution of the GBO Capability strategy for Finance Experience, FP&A Experience & Controllers Group, ensuring timely and in full delivery
  • 3. Responsibility for crafting domain-specific learning courses and assets, working with internal and industry Subject matter experts
  • 4. Understand the GBO Capability & Skills Architectures and in specifically the skill definitions for related domain and process skills
  • 5. Proactively identify and curate content for allocated skills from own research and harvested from Experts (Internal & Third Party)
  • 6. Periodic review of content quality and readiness
  • 7. Lead integrity and cohesion of content available for skills and update/amend over time as content evolves
  • 8. Lead ‘Network' sessions where Internal and Industry leaders connect with learners on domain-specific skills, sharing their knowledge and experience
  • 9. Craft and manage ‘Apply' activities that help learners put a skill into practise through tasks, projects, and gig opportunities
  • 10. Ensure the learning assets and journeys in My Learning Hub are updated and maintained
  • 11. Design and review the Enable certifications, ensuring content and related learning assets are reviewed regularly for relevance and efficiency
  • 12. Support in the design and deployment of cross-skilling and re-skilling initiatives
  • 13. Work with learning data and metrics to draw insights on skill, to better inform the capability strategy and improve learner experience


What you will bring

  • University graduate, B Com, BBA, BBM, MBA Finance (preferred)
  • Certifications in Finance domain pref from ACCA
  • Chartered Accountants preferred Experience
  • Work experience in Diageo Finance Function for a minimum of a year
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills - This role requires primarily working with Senior Leaders to seek inputs and as an end-customer in a team environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity - We always have some unknowns to work with. Ability to make reasonable assumptions, ask questions, learn fast, and become comfortable with ambiguity is important
  • Ability to Communicate ideas and concepts effectively
  • Crafting PowerPoint decks - good storyboarding skills
  • Project Management skills - work on Initiatives and ability to handle small assignments independently
