The role
As a Junior Financial Accountant, you will gain invaluable exposure to hedge accounting processes and IFRS 9 compliance, working alongside top industry professionals in a truly global team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closing tasks, hedge accounting postings, manual journals, and GL reconciliations related to commodity hedging.
- Collaborate with Treasury Front Office, Back Office, Procurement Finance, and Bank Operations teams on financial reporting and treasury-related matters.
- Monitor treasury transactions relevant to Commodity Price Risk Management and assess their accounting impact.
- Support the preparation of the Group Annual Report, 20F, and 6-K filings, ensuring compliance with IFRS and external reporting obligations, with a strong focus on treasury-related areas.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial concepts
- Proficient in English, with great communication skills
- Experience in a multinational financial environment, through internships, trainee programs, or full-time roles
- Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Strong analytical approach, with problem-solving abilities
- Takes ownership and responsibility for tasks and deliverables
- Detailed and highly accurate, ensuring precision in financial work
