About the function
Diageo Eastern Europe comprises 55 countries across Europe, Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa in six time zones. Our main hub is in Budapest, and we also have regional offices in Bucharest, Kyiv, Prague, Sofia and Zagreb. Such a scale ensures our presence in key local geographies and easy accessibility for partners and customers. Europe Partner Markets (EPM) solely operates as distributor RTM with Spirits portfolio.

You will take ownership for the NSV delivery of selective Tier 3 markets, together with ownership of specific commercial projects on the regional level, supporting market execution through M&E and reporting requirements of Country manager's strategic priorities.
About the role
This position requires regular travel across Europe.
- You will lead the P&L / NSV delivery for Tier 3 markets for spirits
- You will have a significant amount of liaison with the distributor partners for Tier 3 markets, providing alignment, planning and follow-up processes. Encouraged to be partner-facing at minimum 40% of their time
- You will need to operate with a wide partner circle, striving to co-ordinate and align with partners across the region, ensuring delivery of outstanding and ever-stretching performance
Market Expertise & Country Development
- Attend regular in-market visits to gather specific insights and opportunities into channels, efficiency of distributor sales force and use of wholesale.
- Contribute constructively in the development of country portfolio, channel trade strategy and innovation strategy
- Perform monthly and quarterly business reviews with distributors to ensure performance and plans are on track.
- Deliver Great Results
- Own the Country P&L for Tier 3 markets, with Country Manager coaching, responsible for delivering AOP target.
- Own specific commercial projects on EPM level, with focus on measurement and evaluation (M&E) and additional commercial opportunities across the region.
Control and compliance
- Ensure control and compliance of distributors' activation in respect to Diageo Marketing code and Code of business conduct across the region
- Track and control the efficiency of marketing spend
- Work with finance partner to ensure sound credit control
- Lead S&OP agenda with partners
- Leverage Centre of Excellence for standardized and automated reporting and analytics
Executional Excellence
- Develop close collaboration with Country Managers, Activation Managers, as well as Brand teams, Supply, Customer service and Sales/Activations teams in distributor organizations.
- Ensure accurate M&E to supervise performance, assemble findings and support Country managers to influence Partners to achieve contractual performance and consumer important metrics
About you
- At least 3 years' rounded business experience, comprising preferably of commercial experience. Experience in another function, e.g. Finance, Marketing, and Strategy will be considered as a plus
- Proven track record of operating as a self-starter in an environment in which you are required to be self-sufficient.
- Cross-cultural and developing market experience is an advantage
- Experience working with 3rd party distributors / partners is preferable
