The role sits within the Global Consumer Planning function, and the Australian Marketing Transformation team.
Our Insights & Planning Manager will lead the insights & planning agenda for two of our global priority brands - Johnnie Walker and Don Julio. This is a strategic planning role where you will partner with the brand teams on the development of brand strategy, marketing business plans, connections planning, agency briefings, marketing effectiveness and measurement & evaluation.
You will also lead our Brand Guidance System (brand tracking) ensuring that key insights and learnings are translated into clear implications and actions that will drive growth. You will support the Head of Marketing Transformation to build marketing capability across the department and ensure our brands have impact in market.
Please note this role is a 6-month contract for a family leave cover
Where will you grow in this role?
- Responsible for leading the Insights & Planning agenda for Johnnie Walker and Don Julio
- Responsible for leading the Brand Guidance system for Diageo Australia
- Achievement of brand and performance targets for assigned brands.
What will you bring to the table?
- Strong strategic thinking with a passion for building consumer centric strategies and plans
- Effective communication & collaboration skills and the ability to engage and influence both global and local stakeholders
- The ability to build influential relationships and ensure that strategy and implementation is underpinned by data and insight
- Strong marketing judgement and a passion for coaching others in best practice marketing
- A mindset of continuous learning and optimisation
Role Requirements & Qualifications
- Experienced in consumer understanding, insight development and consumer research methodologies with a proven track record of generating insights and implications that drive growth.
- Experienced in managing agency partners or experience from within an agency environment and influencing internal stakeholders.
- Experienced in connecting the dots between various data sources and insights, and delivering clear, compelling and actionable recommendations for growth
