The Guinness Open Gate Brewery London is a new Guinness neighbourhood in London that will inspire the best in brewing, food, retail and culture. Consisting of 52,000 square feet of heritage buildings and central courtyard in the historic brewing quarter in Covent Garden, GOGBL will become a key growth driver for Guinness, placing the brand in culture, driving relevancy and brand saliency amongst a new generation of drinkers. GB is the biggest Guinness market globally and Guinness is enjoying a period of exceptional growth and cultural magnetism, with the brand growing by around 50% since 2019 to the biggest it has ever been in value, volume and market share in the brand's 264-year history.

Beer will be produced at a 10hl on site brewery, a world-leading brewing facility which will produce innovation and limited-edition liquids to be served across the GOGBL site. The brewery will form part of a grain to glass immersive visitor experience in 1 Mercer Walk, which will also house dedicated space to build Diageo's southern hub for the Learning 4 Life programme, training hundreds of people per year in hospitality skills.
We believe that the power of community is now more important than ever. At GOGBL we will create opportunities for local jobseekers, give our brewery waste products a second life in the community, and share GOGBL spaces with local community groups. The site is scheduled to open in December 2025.

About the Role
This truly is the dream job for a competent professional looking to join an inspirational team to harness their passion for experiences in a safe and compliant world class visitor attraction.
You will lead the GOGBL compliance agenda with support from Diageo Global Governance Functions and will be responsible for embedding Diageo's Health & safety, sustainability and environmental policies and risk management standards into day-to-day operations - including brewing, consumer experience and F&B. Your focus on compliance will be on both Diageo's internal standards, and local legislative and regulatory requirements and legislative requirements.
The role holder will assist the Managing Director GOGBL with all safety and compliance functions including; developing management systems, reviewing safe systems of work, managing contractors, reporting and investigating incidents, attending site-based compliance meetings, providing compliance, coaching, mentoring and training implementing and monitoring, compliance checks and reporting key performance indicators for health, safety, environment and sustainability to the Leadership team.
This role will require weekend, evening and on-call work.
About you:
This is the perfect position for someone with experience in a compliance function within hospitality, food & beverage, retail, spirits/wine and/or a relevant customer-facing industry. You'll be an inspirational leader who empowers others to work together with a positive and enthusiastic approach and the drive to develop, support, train and encourage your team to strive for the best and ensure that you are all set up for success.
You will have a strong understanding of legislation and experience in leading and driving a risk compliance agenda. You will advocate good governance to ensure that all health, safety, sustainability and environment targets are met by driving site compliance with local legislation and Diageo Global Risk Management Standards.
You will have a proven track record of working at pace, handling multiple priorities and be results driven with an attention to detail. You will be able to monitor and manage and develop and implement compliant processes and procedures. Along with this you will be able to harness your expert knowledge of compliance operations to support and advise front of house teams and have strong stakeholder management skills as you work collaboratively with Diageo teams and third party contractors.
