This role sits on the LAC Planning and Logistics leadership team alongside with Logistics and Transformation & Perfection leads. The role reports with our LAC Planning & Logistics Head, working close with global teams and markets. We are looking for a guide, adventurous, hungry, tenacious and complex Supply chain leader to drive the business growth forward. This is a strategic leadership role which is anticipated to bring significant value to the region and our brands.
The role holder will own the E2E Supply chain across markets.
Responsible for the customer service improvement, e2e supply chain improvement (inventory/ agility program and cost optimization). Lead and work with markets to define and implement strategies tailored to the needs of the customers that comes to life in Route to Market. Examples would be collaboration model, partnership, segmentation, differentiated operating strategies, portfolio, etc. Define the best sourcing strategy for the region, design with agility and resilience in a collaborative work with Category Planning Leaders, Procurement, Supply Chain Directors of the markets and Finance. Sponsors Customer Delight and ensures markets are equipped and supported to deliver the best performance. For the locally sourced markets, the role holder will support the local team on the ground who will be leading this supply activity. Collaborative and close work with the Innovation team and brand change in the markets to deliver the supply readiness and detailed execution.
Purpose of the role:
This role is a key encouraging leader in driving the implementation of the Planning agenda in accordance with our ambition to become ‘leading' in the supply chain maturity framework internally and externally by the customers, suppliers and all other partners. The supply chain leader is encouraged to make a strong leadership contribution in shaping the future of the region, the business, as well as the organisation and will be responsible for bringing long term strategy to life.
This role owns the supply chain performance for the region delivering customer service, inventory and cost. The purpose of the role is to serve the market with the best availability at the optimum cost & cash with an efficient set up of end-to-end Market Operating Strategy to ensure the right level of agility and resilience and delivery accuracy for all market supply. The role holder is a business partner for the Managing Directors and the broader market team and is on point to bring the end-to-end supply team together to drive the growth agenda.
Measurement:
- Service (case fill rate, SAMBC, OTIF); will co-lead with the market supply chain leader to excel on the Customer Service AMB, and OSA/OOS where relevant),
- Inventory, SLOBs reduction (non-productive inventory) - USDM and DIOs.
- Agility program (DBNx improvement)
- Cost reduction (write off, supply chain cost optimization)
- Foundations, such as controls/compliance.
Crucial:
- Demonstrated ability working within dynamic positions within the Supply Chain Planning function, within multiple fields.
- Specific emphasis on planning, supply chain optimization, customer management.
- Consistent record in designing, shaping and implementing sophisticated change agenda and transferring work from one location to another.
- Strong Analytical skills and experience in developing & implementing strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships and influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and empower teams.
- Demonstrable knowledge of end to end supply chain and Customer collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written combined with the ability to engage effectively at all levels in the organisation.
- Numerate and ability to apply KPI's to drive performance management.
- Experience in implementing lean principles.
- Experience working for business leaders in business teams.
- Experience working across Planning, Logistics, or Customer Excellence.
- Experience with respect to setting up or running the centers of excellence.
- Experience with segmentation, multiple routes to markets, including e-commerce.
- Experience handling S&OP.
- Experience with external service-related surveys (Advantage)
- Experience with direct operational accountability of delivery on outcomes in a market of a group of markets working in a multinational CPG / manufacturing company.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Digital savvy, ideally SAP APO knowledge, LCT, TMS or WMS knowledge.
- MBA or MS or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Mgt or similar.
