About the role:

The Head of Reserve will be responsible for driving the growth and development of Diageo's reserve and premium portfolio in Southern Africa. This includes leading the strategy, execution, and performance management to ensure that our premium and luxury brands achieve their full potential in the market.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for Diageo's reserve portfolio in South Africa.
Align reserve strategies with overall business objectives and market opportunities.
Identify growth opportunities within the premium and luxury segments.

Commercial Excellence
Drive sales performance through effective commercial planning and execution.
Collaborate with sales teams to ensure effective distribution and presence of reserve brands.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to inform commercial strategies.

Brand Management
Lead brand-building initiatives to enhance brand equity and awareness.
Oversee marketing campaigns, events, and activations tailored for premium consumers.
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.

Customer Relationships
Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
Develop tailored programs to engage high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and influencers.
Leverage customer feedback to refine strategies and improve brand experiences.

Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team dedicated to the reserve and premium portfolio.
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and manage performance effectively.

Financial Management
Manage budgets effectively to maximize return on investment (ROI).
Track financial performance against targets and take corrective actions as needed.

Revenue Growth Management experience.

Channel P&L ownership and accountability.

Experience / skills required:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 8 years' experience in senior commercial or marketing roles within FMCG or luxury goods sectors.
Proven track record of successfully managing premium/luxury brands.
Strong understanding of South African market dynamics and consumer behavior.
