What will your role be?

Diageo Australia is an integrated Supply (Distilling, Technical, Bottling, Supply Chain, Warehousing) & Demand (Commercial, Marketing, Finance, HR, CR/ Legal) business with local manufacturing in Queensland and NSW and field sales teams in each state.

In Supply our intent to be Australia's number one drinks supply chain delivering the best value, service & innovation to win with our customers. We do this through supporting our in market local and regional strategic activities, and leveraging supply chain efficiencies by creating a lean supply chain to deliver the highest customer service at optimal cost.

As a key member of Diageo Australia Supply Leadership Team the Head of Planning role provides leadership across both Supply and Demand in all areas through the sales and operations planning processes.

What does this role look like for you?
  • Lead the S&OP / IBP process for Diageo, co-coordinating all functions to deliver a best practice process that is owned and valued.
  • Custodian of quality of each of the processes in S&OP / IBP, clearly setting formats, goals, and expected outcomes. Bring trust & transparency to the demand planning process and numbers.
  • Drive Continuous improvement to achieve improved forecast accuracy; better service; optimized inventory and reduced waste by analyzing trends and developing insights, both with internal customers and through collaborative forecasting with customers.
  • Outcome: Engage, lead and develop the planning team, developing talent and strong succession plan to retain knowledge within the team.
  • Build and maintain exceptional relationships with internal and external customers to support our national sales strategy.
  • Lead and promote efficient and effective collaboration network across E2E Supply Leadership Team, Commercial, Finance, Marketing, among others relevant people and processes, fostering an ambitious and encouraging attitude for breaking barriers with a breakthrough mindset to achieve excellence at all challenges.


What will you bring to the table?
  • Business Degree in a Discipline related
  • Strong understanding of supply / demand planning processes, inventory management, forecasting
  • Proven experience in process definition and implementation, as well as in change management
  • Experience in leading and developing teams
  • Proven high standard of presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in and commitment
  • Able to deliver results through others and on own, unlock barriers to success and create the right environment for sustainable performance.
  • Working with SAP & APO an advantage
